About

Wise Mind was founded by Alissa Adler. Alissa has been an early childhood educator for sixteen years and holds teaching credentials in California, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. She is trained in First Aid and CPR. She also has a musical theater background which creates a lively, exciting atmosphere when she is working with students (and no one does a better Elsa voice than Alissa!)
Alissa graduated with honors from Montclair State University, an internationally recognized Teacher Education Program with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught children of various ages throughout her many years of classroom teaching. She has also developed academic camps, worked as a Children's Program Facilitator, and tutored through several private agencies.
Alissa develops intuitive connections with her students, tuning into their specific learning needs and providing clear, concise and complete hands-on excercises. She creates a fun, warm and exciting atmosphere where children play and learn while strengthening skills in areas of fine/gross motor development, math, reading and writing readiness, science, social studies, and visual perception. In addition to fostering academic achievement, she focuses on building character traits like patience, positivity and self-esteem. Alissa believes that there is a light inside every child, and it is our job as educators to figure out how to turn it on, so that he/she may shine.

To truly achieve a wise mind, the heart and the head must be intertwined.
