About
Wise Mind was founded by Alissa Adler. Alissa has been an early childhood educator for twenty years. She graduated with honors from Montclair State University, an internationally recognized Teacher Education Program, with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught children ages 3-9 throughout her many years of classroom teaching. She has also worked as a Children's Program Facilitator, a Curriculum Specialist, an academic camp Director, an acting and singing teacher, a Special Needs teacher, a Mentor teacher, an Outdoor Specialist, and has founded and developed several of her own academic camps. She is trained in First Aid and CPR. She also has a musical theater background which creates a lively, exciting atmosphere when she is working with students (and no one does a better Elsa voice than Alissa!)
Alissa develops intuitive connections with her students, tuning into their specific learning needs so she may provide engaging, developmentally appropriate exercises/activities. She creates a fun, warm and exciting atmosphere where children play and learn while strengthening skills in areas of fine/gross motor development, math, reading, writing, science, art, social studies, speech, and visual perception. In addition to fostering academic achievement, she focuses on building character traits like patience, positivity and self-esteem. Alissa believes that there is a light inside every child, and it is our job as educators to figure out how to turn it on, so that he/she may shine.

To truly achieve a wise mind, the heart and the head must be intertwined.
